Had a wonderful and powerful experience. Very happy with the difference I can feel a difference in my body and soul. I will be going back next week, can’t wait to feel the results after numerous sessions. I highly recommend.

—Megan M.

Kimberly is a compassionate, caring, and engaging Reiki provider and instructor. Working with her always calms my spirit and rejuvenates my mind and body. She is a gifted individual and my ability to regulate and respond to my emotional well-being has greatly improved over my years of working with her.       —Dr. Shena G.

Kim did a reiki session with me on Wednesday and I have to say it was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. I cannot wait for another sessions. She is awesome and has a wonderful gift. I hope to see her sharing this gift with many more people.

—Leeanne C.

I cannot emphasize enough how I glad I am that I contacted Kim and had a reiki session with her. I have since had many more sessions with her and after each I can feel the clearing and healing! My husband has enjoyed his sessions as well. I would highly recommend her to anyone for results of overall well being and relief from aches and pains. My husband and I both had a session before a long day of travel and we felt 25 years younger and had more energy! So grateful to connect with such a true giver of love and light!

—Diane W.

I met Kim as a coworker when I was 18. She has been a TRUE angel to me. She taught me how to be aware of my emotions and to heal myself. She has the most calming, comforting and loving nature about her that can just melt away anxious feelings and chaos so you can just focus on yourself and heal.
Kim is an amazing teacher, she taught me things that I have found very hard to learn. Just becoming grounded, self aware, breath work, meditation, sound and vibrational therapy, all tools that helped me get through dark times like the loss of both of my parents as a teenager, childhood traumas, and even navigating life today.
I promise you won’t regret learning from Kim, you will leave with nothing but positive experience that will last you forever.

—Moira Reed

I had a great experience at Serenity with my reiki treatment. I had been feeling very stressed with various random medical issues for which I’m being treated, but decided to add a more holistic component in there. I literally had more energy in the several days following my treatment than I’ve felt in years, and definitely will continue reiki sessions!

Healing with Reiki and Plants

fresh mint and flowers in white marble mortal and pestle
Fresh herbs from my yard are my favorite teas!

Many meditations are guiding me back to plant medicine as the link to helping my body adapt to the unhelpful stuff in our food and water supply. I have shifted into taking my filtered well water and then infusing fresh herbs like lemon balm or mint in the water. This has been lovely to reconnect with the energy of each herb. Lemon Balm is my favorite right now. It’s like drinking sunshine. This has guided me to dig deeper into supporting my body with plant medicine.

Telling doctors for years that everyone in my family has thyroid issues wasn’t enough to get blood work to show anything. Apparently things still must go crazy sideways for Allopathic Medicine to register anything. Then it’s pharmaceuticals or surgery solutions so I have turned to connecting with myself for further guidance…

Reiki to the Rescue

Thanks to Reiki for healing inflammation, clearing trauma, and healing stress, nervous system and Vagus nerve. Emotional shifts and energy shifts have really done a tremendous amount for healing me. I no longer blame myself for feeling sad, tired, resentment, grief or anger. It is simply an indicator that I am working too hard. If I am unable to reset in a pause then there’s some inflammation in my gut. So I do Reiki to heal that.

Daily Reiki helped me identify so much in my body. I was spending hours each day doing Reiki on my right lower side (ileosecal valve entered my awareness thanks to LeeAnne Cordell). The awareness clued me in that I should avoid dairy for sure, popcorn (real tears here), nuts, seeds, & raspberries during a flare up of irritation. Do you ever feel an ache in the lower right side of your abdomen? Maybe there is some need for deeper attention here?

With lots of Reiki in this area and gentle-pressure massage to tone the valve area, I felt a release through my throat and ear on the right side. Energetically this part of the digestive tract was connected to the energy flow through my tonsils, and sore throats (and dust allergy oddly enough.) I found the digestion pathway was still irritated if I didn’t eat perfectly. That meant it was not fully healed.

**Side note: apparently the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and Spain all have many practitioners helping people to manage this issue. There are many YouTube videos from around the world on how to heal your ileosecal valve. Here in the US I had so much digestive trouble after a miscarriage that I had a scope done to be sure that area of irritation wasn’t something terrible. All the doctor said was that it looked slightly irritated, so I should avoid the foods that bothered me…otherwise I was healthy…

Release with Fasting

Pulling wisdom from Resetters Podcast has been tremendous. Her focus is the same as mine: Our Bodies Can Heal! Her goal is to teach people intermittent fasting so that the organs can release and clear out the stress hormones allowing them to access regular hormones again. This has been helpful so I simply skip breakfast and drink black coffee before eating/drinking a plant heavy lunch and healthy dinner.

Vitamin D is Important

Then eczema flared up and I saw more irritation that happens every end of August, so I dug deeper. I listened to my guidance that Energywork & fasting isn’t enough, that my body needed more help. I really thought doing all of the above I would have enough Vitamin D with all the yard work and outdoor time this summer for the season change clearly not so. Back to magnesium glycerinate and vitamin D supplementation. So I’m returning to Magnesium Glycinate and Vitamin D3 at 10,000 IU’s daily now.

Vitamin D is actually a hormone so the body cannot convert the supplement to usable from without the proper minerals in place to support that conversion. With the podcast I learned that what used to be considered good vitamin D blood level of 25 went up to 30 about 10 years ago. Then from patients with any Auto-immune disorder I learned their rheumatologist wanted a minimum of 40. This Functional Medicine Doctor who is focused on thyroid health says minimum is 60 in a healthy person and 70 if any sign or symptom of auto-immune disorder presents… Wow! I was worried I would overdo the Vitamin D, but I once with constant supplementation measured at 50.

Minerals Are Essential

Magnesium Glycinate is super important for the body to utilize/make vitamin D as it’s really a hormone too! I had given it all to Ava to help her seizure disorder and forgot to order more the last few months. Black coffee, sugar and stress all burn up the magnesium quickly so it’s likely I was deficient. Shifting things in the family to be ready to care for my parents as needed has been tough balancing business and family. A Resetters Podcast on Mineral deficiency raised my awareness to Zinc. So I threw in the Zinc I had left from my COVID immune system stock up. All three daily for a full month made a difference.

The flare up on my eyelids is really the most difficult to manage. Once the skin gets dry enough and the itching sets in the inflammation cycle has really taken over. Again plant medicine to the rescue: Summer Salve healed that in two days thanks to Maiden Camp for Ava a few years ago with Angela Burgess and the Wise Women teachers.

Plant Medicine Adaptogens

Have you heard about Adaptogens yet? They help the support the body in releasing the stress hormone cycle and flush out the stress hormone cortisol while helping the body to actually use the hormones that are there. This is very important as I learned while I may show in blood work that I have hormones, it is possible that the stress is throwing the receptors off. The receptor need to grab the hormones and convert them into the usable form the body needs for function. There are herbal and mushroom adaptogens to help you deal with stress. What magical plants, am I right?

The reason I chose Ashwaganda as my adaptogen (thanks to Step-dad Bill for sending me)was this article linking thyroid healing with Ashwaganda. I researched things to help my mom with her memory and anxiety struggles, and recommended they start daily supplementing with it. It’s been shown to help stop memory loss and improve brain function in several studies. Ashwaganda twice daily came up as a powerful way to help support the body to heal. There was also some good info on the brain healing benefits of Lion’s Mane mushrooms. Hello healing plants!

Endocrine Disruptors Equal Inflammation

Understanding that no matter who we are, there is wide-spread infiltration of both food and water supply with toxins that are endorcrine/ amino acid disruptors. The Round-Up is in every animal eating corn which produces all the dairy, eggs, meats for us. The pesticide was orignially approved through the FDA for use as an antibiotic. We all know what kind of trouble we get into if we have to be on antibiotics for more than 7-10days… Now it is in everything. Think about how it is used as desiccants too. Dry wheat, barley, amaranth is way easier to collect than fresh. This combination of disruptors at the cellular level are a recipe for inflammation and trouble.

These toxins are destroying so many pathways in our bodies, and the plastics have broken down over the last 60 years to show up in all creatures and plants of the Earth. Hormonal disruption is far worse for women than men as doctors typically don’t listen to female complaints of pain or discomfort- at this point at don’t blame them as we are about 45 yrs into constant glyphosate exposure. So many have whacked hormones and gut health so it’s normal for women to have pain, irregular menses, inflammation, or depression.

Glyphosate literally blocks your normal amino acid cycle of energy production in the cells. Then we begin struggling as different adrenal hormones kick in to power the cells, which blocks other hormones and the cascade effect begins as other hormone pathways derail. Even plastics have leeched into almost every waterway; we have been hearing about their endocrine disruption for years.

From depression to chronic fatigue to PCOS, women have to really have tremendous challenges to finding good health. All of these illnesses have inflammation at its root. Women are especially challenged to have good nutrition to prevent inflammation as menses and childbearing are incredibly nutrient demanding.

But men are having challenges too. How many are suffering from depression themselves? How many have anxiety? How many from IBS? Other inflammatory issues? How many suffer from exhaustion?

Detox the Body with Plants and Minerals

Things that are working for me:

Ashwaganda twice daily, Turkey Tail once, and Geranium Essential Oil topically over my liver when I remember. Geranium Essential Oil helps teach the liver the frequency of release. Magnesium Glycinate if I drink coffee in the morning, and then again at night with the Vitamin D3. I also have added some Zinc (thanks to Resetters Podcast) which seems to help everything else flow better. Spirulina, wild blueberry, and banana or avocado smoothies with water for my break-fast and avoid dairy. (I started with taking Turkey tail mushrooms after the Costa Rica trip thanks to Kris May.)

Glycine Amino acid powder is also on my list (thanks Resetters Podcast.) This Amino Acid pushes glyphosphate out of my cells so that Glycine can get back into the energy amino acid chain at the cellular level for energy. Glycine is cheap and just mixes in water to make a nice before bed way to detox Glyphosphate (notes below for study). It helps with better sleep too. (So does Reishi mushroom!)

Reiki Helps Glandular Function

Despite all of this added nutrition, I still do daily Reiki and energy flow work to make sure that I am not holding emotional stress or inflammation anywhere. Reiki works by showing me where there is slow or sluggish energy. I am able to help that move out and reharmonize the flow throughout all the main chakra centers. Each chakra center is connected to a gland. Good flow through the entire energetic core means that everything is working well together.

Many different metaphysical books mention the importance of calcium for energy workers. Apparently we burn through this mineral quickly doing this higher frequency energy work. This wisdom is what I find when I ask to be guided to things that heal me. I just happen to pick up the right book and turn to the right page. Carrot juice has been quenching my thirst too. I picked up another book and read that carrot juice is rich in bio-available calcium. Connecting to this wisdom is so important.

Healing through Research

Healing takes money and most health insurance covers nothing that’s for healing. It’s all about the “treating sickness”model. When there’s so much profit in sickness and testing it, where’s the motivation to learn/teach wellness and healing? That is why it is so important that we each take control of our journey to healing. You must heal you. Learn to hear yourself and listen to your inner guidance.

So I wanted to share this exciting step in my journey in case it may help someone else who is struggling. I feel like I have a new key to health. I am going to shift a few things and see exactly what I need to keep doing and what I can slack on a bit in about 2 months. I feel like the 90 day point is the key to supporting the body to handle the repair.

Which leads me into my next step, teaching people to access their energy flow to see where their bodies are holding stress. This stress may show up in many different ways. It’s a powerful tool for managing stress whether emotional, environmental, or systemic. Everyone can learn to shift into flow to release emotions and tap into the root of how to heal! I’m working on making a booklet and video course complete with pictures for drawing and meditating into healing. 🌟💖💙💜🌈🦋🌅 Stay tuned!

Beneficial Effects of the Amino Acid Glycine (link to study embedded)

PubMed Abstract as follows:

“Glycine is the smallest non-essential, neutral and metabolically inert amino acid, with a carbon atom bound to two hydrogen atoms, and to an amino and a carboxyl group. This amino acid is an essential substrate for the synthesis of several biologically important biomolecules and compounds. It participates in the synthesis of proteins, of the tripeptide glutathione and in detoxification reactions. It has a broad spectrum of anti-inflammatory, cytoprotective and immunomodulatory properties. To exert its actions, glycine binds to different receptors. The GlyR anion channel is the most studied receptor for glycine. However, there are GlyR-independent mechanisms for glycine cytoprotection and other possible binding molecules of glycine are the NMDA receptor and receptors GlyT1 and GlyT2. Although, in humans, the normal serum level of glycine is approximately 300 μM, increasing glycine intake can lead to blood levels of more than 900 μM that increase its benefic actions without having harmful side effects. The herbal pesticide glyphosate might disrupt glycine homeostasis. Many in vitro studies involving different cell types have demonstrated beneficial effects of the addition of glycine. Glycine also improved conditions of isolated perfused or stored organs. In vivo studies in experimental animals have also tested glycine as a protector molecule and some studies on the beneficial effects of glycine after its clinical application have been done.”

Reiki Classes Offer Healing

After practicing Reiki for many years, I love to point out to all of my students how deeply healing the Reiki class is for each of them. The Reiki attunements that we go through during class allow for heavy, stuck energy to fall away. This enables their whole energy body to flow into a more elevated and harmonious frequency for optimal wellness. While learning the history of Reiki is essential for proper reverence, the technique and foundation for proper practice is essential.

With Reiki the essential piece for proper flow is to stay open and allow flow while also being grounded. I teach the importance of allowing Reiki flow to fill you up first. I like to imagine that I am like a current tapping into the higher frequencies of the heavens and allowing it to flow all the way down through my body out into the my center, then into the earth and my hands are just simply that connector that provides that current of elevated frequency to my clients.

During Reiki class not only does each student learn about the practice of Reiki for others, the main focus is to dig deep into self awareness. Our goal is to learn how to walk with love and compassion to allow for the deep wisdom and grace to flow through us first, then flow outward. The more I practice Reiki the more I let go of knowing where someone is on their path. The focus is on respecting their journey as their own. As a Reiki teacher, I strive to learn more to help each person in a way that makes sense to them.

One incredibly important skill is that of visualization. The key to healing the subconscious is by imagining healing in picture format. While in a deeply meditative Reiki state, I make sure Reiki flows through my entire being starting with Hara Centering. Takata taught Hara Centering is feeling flow from below the belly button and up to the diaphragm. She focused on the importance of feeling flow through the entire area. The ability to Hara center is so important and yet I feel has really expanded for me the last few years. This helps me to teach Reiki in a whole new way, emphasizing Hara Centering for as long as it takes for everyone to feel the flow.

If I am unable to sense a nice flow through that area I will go through a Reiki self-treatment starting at the root chakra, just below the tailbone. Next I move up to the Hara center point (aka Dantien or Tanden 2” below and behind the bellybutton.) This over laps with the 2nd chakra. Once I can feel an expansive flow of Reiki, I move out to the hips and be sure that the flow moves throughout the whole area. Next I check up through the diaphragm. I pause here until I can sense flow from the Hara center up to stomach. This is Hara Centering.

The heart-center is my next area of focus. I love to stay here and make sure it expands both out the front and the back and then scan to be sure the entire aura at all the layers are nice and flowing. Then around the neck (the 5th Throat chakra) receives a good Reiki Session. I check the way out to the sides of the aura here as well for good flow and release of heavy slow energy that may be stacking up causing neck and shoulder pain. After this is the 6th middle forehead slightly above eyebrows. Again here I will check front and back with scanning to be sure there is good flow and around to the sides especially. Here I will sit to be sure I sense good flow to both the throat and entire head for best connection to intuition and my guides.

Finally I bring my awareness to the entire crown and check for flow up and out the back of the head and center crown and sides to the front. Once this has been completed I am able to work on others. This is essential to start the day so that stress or emotions do not get stuck and begin to stack up. Reiki self-treatment is the most important way to start the day.

In Reiki class we cover the importance of all these things. I highly encourage each student to carve out time daily for self-care with Reiki self-treatment because it’s the best way to get to know oneself and stay on the path to healing through self-awareness. Reiki Class level I continues to awaken senses until 21 days out. Level II attunement does the same only we add in more focused energy of the symbols. Practice continues to deepen that healing and is very essential to the heart of Reiki practice.

There is so much covered in class I do recommend each student make time to come out to Reiki Circles and practice. This time offers so much learning and support for everyone, especially me. 💜🦋🌸

The Power of Negativity

Let’s embrace negativity for a minute. That’s right, stare right at it and dig in a little deeper. There’s so much out there about being positive that I got swept up in eradicating negativity. Staying in the flow with Reiki, I erroneously thought I had to push away all negative thoughts, did you?

For a while, I made it my personal job to strap on my backpack of positivity spray and blast out all the negativity out from myself and others to keep everything shiny and clean. Rather than reach my goal of becoming a beacon of positivity, I found myself hyperfocused on exterminating any negativity or sadness. Rather than sitting with my anger, I pushed it away. My poor friends and family as I passionately preached about storm clouds and sunshine, while ignoring my own full-spectrum of emotions. For years I focused on fighting anger and rejecting outbursts from anyone.

Disinfecting Earth view- what a shift as I now embrace all challenges. Image thanks  Ajay kumar Singh from Pixabay

My determination to “get rid of negativity” became judgmental in my push for perfection. Once I made time to pause, as the stress of COVID increased, I realized there was no way to push through these heavy emotions. So I learned to pause in that moment and instead allow myself to become the observer. I learned to sit with it and instead watch the flow of thoughts and emotions in order to learn what was underneath. In the darker depths of the flow.

Reiki Principals to the Rescue

In this forced quiet, where I could no longer talk about staying in playfulness without having my head bit off, I learned the power of silence. I came back to the Reiki Principle- be kind to all living things. To apply this I have to forgive myself for being angry and engaging in conflict. I was hurting, just in a different way from those around me. I needed to sit in my waves of sadness, anger, and frustration, alone and find the calm floating on the waves.

There’s a parable that resonates with me which tells of a young boy and his grandfather. The young boy is struggling with dark impulses. His grandfather tells him that inside each person is a wolf of light and a wolf of dark. The one that wins is the one that the young boy chose to feed. There was an Aha- moment. He didn’t say, kill the wolf of the dark” did he? He said choose which one you feed.

We all have the light and dark within us. The key is to embrace them both and then chose which to focus on…

My conflicts were tests for me to apply my “wisdom” and be compassionate. So compassion is what I gave myself, and in allowing myself to pause, I found grace and peace. I could not rush myself or anyone else to hurry through their suffering. I could not rush myself or anyone to see that they were in charge of their experience. I could not rush myself or anyone to see that we all have the wisdom within us when we make time to get quiet. I had to simply get quiet, find my inner calm, and wait out the storm.

Embracing Conflict

As I dove deeper into my Reiki practice, I learned it’s actually about softening and embracing ALL emotions. Feelings are simply indicators of different levels of stress and emotional holding. With energy healing work I learned it’s not the power of positivity but rather the power of love that heals. So dig into negativity…sit with it… deep belly breath and exhale… why am I feeling this way? Then just wait for answer to come… That is the key.

Here’s another Reiki principal:

Be honest and clear. I must learn to face every part of the person in the mirror with love. That’s the most important thing. I no longer reject my negativity, it’s simply my clue to pause, breathe, and go outside to look up at the beauty. Go enjoy the trees, birds, and hum of nature. Go out and realign my energy flow. When I get frustrated or irritated, that’s my stress valve needing a release and nothing more… Being angry, sad, frustrated, resentful does not mean have I have less value, it simply means I need to pause and release, reconnect, and restore my flow.

Energy Balancing with Reiki and Breath-work

By embracing ALL emotions, I am now being honest. I no longer try to censor my Bad Mood. Instead, I see her and pause, and then I ask myself how I am hurting. Negativity has become my inner barometer of unintentionally allowing stress to build and boil into a storm. It’s my clue to go outside and ground with a reiki meditation. I breathe deep into my belly as I expand my awareness up and out , then exhale while releasing down into the Earth. All my stress can then flow out into the Earth and be recycled. I’m so grateful to my reiki practice to know how that feels.

Alajuela City Stay

We’ll center our practice at an adorable small hotel in Alajuela, a small city adjacent to capital city San Jose, only minutes from the international airport. Daily excursions will be made to a city spa’s private pool, tree canopy zip line, and swinging bridge tour with hot springs immersion. We will practice staying open and curious while pushing our sense of adventure. Staying in the flow with Reiki and other practices in real life adrenaline rush situations is a challenge. How fun to put the practice to test!

The energy of this sweet town is quaint as there as many parks as there are little boutiques for everything you can imagine: clothes, school supplies, shoes, books, baked goods, and more. Each purchase you make helps a local family which in turn helps this community stay abundant and enjoy the beauty of their country.

While staying here I was amazed at the energy that flows through each of the shop keepers here. Most everyone feels very centered, relaxed, and filled with loving energy. It’s such an amazing feeling to explore and sense the love of this country from an energy healing perspective. The hotel I knew would be perfect for our get away as I saw The Four Agreements of the front desk in both English and Spanish. I will be thrilled to guide you through this amazing country in our short stay.

Holy Fire III® Reiki Experience

a-pile-of-flowers-on-fire-near-the-floral-carpet

This past few weeks I upgraded to the Holy Fire III® Reiki frequency for my Karuna® Reiki Sessions and what a difference! The energy from the Holy Fire symbol is intensely hot which really helps clients and myself to bring awareness to different parts and layers of the body where there is tightness. The heat of the energy grows as the flow intensifies and then it moves stuck energy or emotions far faster than ever before. I will say Holy Fire energy seems to melt the hard energy blocks quickly. This energy is a powerful level up for the Love energy for healing.

HOLY FIRE heals all over

With Holy Fire Reiki meets each person where they are and helps for an all over energy shift. This doesn’t focus in on one part of the person but rather addresses the whole person. The whole includes all their layers of growth on energetic and spiritual layers. I haven’t seen it push anyone past where they should be causing any type of discomfort in the client later. I have seen that with many different modalities, but not with Holy Fire III® Reiki. This seems to encompass the whole person so that the is far less resistance. I am amazed as the possibilities for release both on soul trauma levels and ancestral trauma levels.

My personal experience with Holy Fire III® Reiki has allowed me to expand my awareness of my grounding and being a channel of the energy while my hands, eyes, and voice are like conduits that help connect them to the high frequency state of being. This has really helped me to recognize when I am interfering with the flow and shift and correct my posture and then allow for their higher self to guide their experience. The less I direct, the better the flow. How lovely is that?

Reiki Healing Qualitites

Regarding the healing qualities, I remember working on a soft tissue injury like a twisted ankle and it would take about 30 minutes of reiki treatment for the injury to heal with level I&II. When I received the Master level it would take about 10-15 minutes. Then with Karuna Reiki within 7 minutes a twisted ankle would be resolved. Now with the Holy Fire III® Reiki energy I am seeing shifts within minutes. My old deep burn (I neglected to take time to treat immediately upon receiving the injury) that was just scabbing over healed up within a day. It amazing and I cant wait to see what happens next!

Currently, I am working on expanding my energy shift at all levels before I teach a class with this energy. It has been three weeks since my upgrade, and I have led many circles to have Holy Fire III® Reiki experiences. How lovely that have been for all of us. I am excited to continue expanding my spiritual and energetic growth for benefit of my clients and family. These are exciting times!

Reiki Classes Offer a Deep Healing for Each Student

After practicing Reiki for many years, I love to point out to all of my students how deeply healing the class is for each of them. The attunements that we go through during class allow for heavy, stuck energy to fall away. This enables the energy body to flow into a more elevated and harmonious frequency for optimal wellness. While learning the history of Reiki is important for reverence, the technique and foundation for proper practice is essential.

Reiki classes are a healing

With Reiki, staying open and being grounded is the key to good flow. I like to imagine that I am like a waterfall, tapping into the higher frequencies of the heavens above and allowing it to flow all the way down through my body out into the earth. My hands are just simply that connector that provides that connection of elevated frequency to my clients. I can also use my eyes to channel Reiki as well as my voice as I chant and sing with focus on the person for whom I am holding space for a deep release and healing. I teach all of these practices in class.

During class, not only does a student learn about the practice of Reiki, but each student also has an opportunity to dig deep into self awareness. The goal is to learn how to walk with love and compassion to allow for the deep wisdom and grace to flow through and ripple outward. The more I practice Reiki the more I learn the importance of identifying where I am on my path and respecting others journey as their own.

As a Reiki teacher, I strive to be always learning more to help each person in a way that makes sense to them. Each student will gain more clarity the more they practice. This is the foundation of a Reiki practice, daily self-treatments to have more insight into the inner way of being. The more we practice, the more we are present, the more clarity we have. This is the way of Reiki.

The key to healing the subconscious and reprogram how I react to situations is by visualizing healing myself. While in a deeply meditative Reiki state, I make sure Reiki flows through my entire being starting with hara centering. If I am unable to sense a nice flow through that area I will go through a Reiki self-treatment starting at the root chakra, just below the tailbone, then moving up after I sense the flow.

Next I move up to the hara center point which is the Tan den (aka dantien) 2” below and behind the bellybutton. Once I can feel an expansive flow of Reiki, I move out to the hips and be sure that the flow moves out from the center point. The 3rd chakra receives some love next. I pause here at the base of the sternum until I can sense flow out the front and back of the chakra. I love to imagine a powerful yellow geyser of light out in front as well as behind me. Once the back feels flowing, I draw in healthy energy from behind me. 🌟

The 4th chakra or the heart-center is my next area of focus. I love to stay here and make sure it expand both out the front and the back and then scan to be sure the entire aura at all the layers are nice and flowing. Then the 5th Throat chakra receives a good Reiki Session. I check the way out to the sides of the aura here as well for good flow and release of heavy slow energy that may be stacking up causing neck and shoulder pain. After this is the 6th or third eye.

This is essential to start the day so that stress or emotions do not get stuck and begin to stack up causing pain or aches.

In class we cover the importance of all these things. I highly encourage each student to carve out time daily for self-care with Reiki self-treatment because it’s the best way to get to know oneself and stay on the path to healing through self-awareness. Level I continues to awaken senses until 21 days out. Level II attunement does the same. Practice continues to deepen that healing and is very essential to the heart of Reiki practice.

There is so much covered in class I do recommend each student make time to come out to Reiki Circles and practice. This time offers so much learning and support for everyone, especially me. 💖🦋🌸 If you are ready to begin your inner journey, reach out!

Reiki Will Always Be My Go-To

lady in beach silhouette during daytime photography

When I began practicing Reiki full-time, I had no idea where this would lead me. With a giant leap of faith I quit my steady paycheck job of more than 17 years back in January of 2020. I had been trying to grow my own Reiki Energy-Healing practice while working part-time, and finally realized I would only get the energy back that I put into it. And with that, I leapt…

My journey with Reiki practice began with an Usui Reiki attunement in 2002. I was skeptical, but my mom had just had her twisted ankle healed by Reiki at a party a few months back and she was amazed by the results. I had a deep conflict between being very much needing physical proof while at the same time being captivated by the spiritual healings we studied in Anthropology. While auras, biofields, energy-bodies were talked about, I questioned that they were anything palpable, treatable, healable, or visible. So I went into the attunement with a curious but “prove it” attitude. And prove it she did…

After over a decade studying and learning more about the subtle-body through Reiki, with Sound, using energy meridians, different types of Energywork, I have learned to sense disruption in the biofield not only with tuning forks, but with intuition, Reiki, Quantum Healing and Angel guidance. I have tested what I was sensing and repeatedly found my intuition to be correct. My Reiki students have also been able to sense similar things. This has opened up a whole different aspect of the work as I have allowed for guidance to flow through me. My initial focus was on understanding how energy flows through the physical body and how to improve that flow. I focused on Tuning forks and Reiki to help clear blocks in the physical body. This is powerful but I realize I limited the energy flow in the past. All these methods can work on so many levels. The bigger energy perspective that allows big shifts is the aura level work.

Now my focus is on Aura clearing at all levels. I can now check at every level and be sure everything that is healthy and gentle to clear has been accomplished. Using Reiki is lovely because it is gentle and powerful. After a full reiki session, I go back and check it with aura clearing and find it to be well healed in most cases. I still check both the chakra (aka major energy centers) flow well, and I also tune in to the meridians within the physical body and verify they are clear and flowing well. I have come to see how our energy should flow quickly like a waterfall which carried away the “blocks” and hard “energy” that can begin to block the flow and over time stack up and create a dam. Once this happens, fatigue, anxiety, stress, lack of focus will result.

Aura-focused work shows me how important it is for each client to do daily work for themselves to maintain it if possible. Even one day can cause someone to hold enough hard energy blocks to stack up and cause trouble. Sleeping will help repair this but if there’s enough perceived stress, sleep may be difficult. I include mini-lessons for my clients to continue to maintain their grounding if they are interested.

The key is to be sure to connect to the Earth and release stress out of the body. The key is to take time to breathe, expand awareness into the entire body and then connect to the Earth and release stress blocks down and out of the body. Being able to visualize it and guide the flow of energy is essential. This is why I am creating videos and a book of mini-lessons so that all my client can continue the work at home and practice! It’s so important, now more than ever. Please share these from my YouTube channel if it helps you. It’s time we all work together to help each other rise and be our best. Every day our best will look different and that’s ok too.

Reiki and Plants

Recently the medicine of plants have been calling to me so I have been working with the plants in my yard using reiki. I keep having dreams where I “know” which plants are healing and which plants are nourishing. This deep feeling that we all need to restore our intuitive connection with the plants in our own yard and region is strong.

Just a few years ago I discovered the benefits of essential oils and kept into ordering and studying and learning all that I could. While the benefits are clear and based on the chemicals in the plants, I kept feeling it was so wasteful. 1,000 mandarin to make the mandarin oil I was using. How much sandalwood and frankincense? How could this be sustainable if we want everyone to use plants as medicine? The more I would study the more I learned about unsustainable practices, over harvesting, and companies buying foreign lands and only hiring locals to work the land as employees, not supporting their independence with allowing land ownership. There had to be a better way to heal with plants, I just knew it in my bones.

Doterra supports local owned plants grown and harvested and teach essential oil processing to help support independent families in other countries.

After my deep year long dive into essential oils, I visited my college roommate on her organic farm north of Seattle. She had journeyed deep into shamanism and spirit medicine after we had parted ways. She gave her book on Plant Shamanism and more. That book had such wisdom, talking about the importance of finding the medicine of the plants living near me. Plants growing around me would learn what nutrients I needed and fill that need. I just needed to be spending time with them and talking to them. The plants could read my energy field and see what to make to help nourish me on every level. What an amazing thought!

Since then, I have been working to grow as many herbal medicinal plants as possible. The blue berries are so important but adding in herbs to every meal has provided subtle shifts. I am learning to use stinging nettles, plantain, basil, pineapple sage, kitchen sage, lemon balm, rosemary, oregano, catnip, and thyme in so many ways. I have also discovered that even Sweet Gum trees have anti-viral properties when harvesting green sweet gum balls and making a tincture from them. Chickweed and henbit even have good vitamins to help us. I am so excited to be learning about the medicine in my own backyard. I try to use something from my yard in every meal and even in my water.

By doing reiki on each plant that’s growing in my yard, I learn what the plant needs to thrive, and I begin to notice what is unbalanced. Perhaps some mulch to maintain the moisture, maybe some weeding to clear the ground, maybe trimming back to help fresh growth emerge, and maybe some compost for nutrients. the reiki also helps the plants to root better and thrive. It’s been an amazing journey to connect with and learn how these amazing plants are here to help us and communicate. I am even learning which weeds are tasty as they are with just a little rinse. They let me know the importance of adding a little to all my food, rather than just adding to one dish once in a while. My yard is full of native salad greens and I even found some mustard greens. What a discovery!

Take time to connect with the food growing in your own yard. Try using Reiki to see what you notice! Don’t know Reiki yet? Sign up for my classes.

Reiki is Energy Medicine

Energy medicine is finally getting the attention that it deserves as a powerful catalyst for healing. Energy medicine includes any modality that helps someone to connect to and expand their subtle energy body. Energy medicine can be Reiki, Aura Healing, Healing Touch, Pranic Healing, Quantum Healing, the Reconnect, and Acupressure or Acupuncture. There is also Sound Therapy that helps to expand the energy body. Because so many people are raised believing all that they are is flesh and bones, they restrict their energy to fit inside that boundary. In reality we a huge energy beings that expand outside of the physical body several feet in every direction.

Our lifestyles are also so incredibly hectic causing our energy to cycle back on itself creating stress, inflammation, and anxiety loops. Many people live inside a box and rarely spend time outside. You can see the emphasis on larger and larger houses rather than larger yards. This disconnect with the frequency of the Earth and plants leads to eczema, allergies, auto-immune disorders, and more over time. We have forgotten how to ground release energy by connecting to the Earth.

Most people do not ever connect their energy body fully into their physical body except for during dancing, singing, or orgasm. It’s important to feel safe in one’s body most of the time rather than just a few minutes of the day. With guidance everyone can learn how to breathe and exhale releasing stress and tension from their physical bodies down into the Earth. This release allows their natural healing life energy to flow powerfully through their whole being once again. This is where energy medicine will empower everyone to heal and be healthy.

With a little practice before sessions and after sessions, I teach my clients to connect into their body and ground into the Earth, centering themselves with their awareness. Many highly sensitive people (HSP) or empaths are constantly focused on others feelings which causes them to ignore their own body. Once an HSP/empath learns to focus on their own body, they learn how to release stress, tension, and heal by staying fully present in their own body. This is how to release other people’s stuff.

Through practice, my clients gain the ability to reclaim their power with a quick exhale and release of feelings that they are holding. With this practice, healthy boundaries return. By paying more attention to feelings and breathing them out, each person can feel fully present, safe, and strong in their bodies. The energy shifts and becomes stronger as one learns how to check inside and trust ourself before agreeing to do something. This centering allows for better expression also. This is self love and is super powerful. A beautiful energy flow and large, balanced energy field is a result.

Holding emotions in is fairly common. Due to judging these emotions on some level as bad or painful, they are stored in the physical body typically in the spleen, pancreas, or liver. This leads to poor digestion and tight muscles in the surrounding area. This causes a buildup of lactic acid, carbon monoxide and other cellular waste that leads to pain and inflammation. How do we learn to stop holding?

First we need a reclassification of emotions from “bad or “painful” to the most basic of sensations, ex- exciting, calming, comfortable, or uncomfortable, then we are able to release judgement and observe our emotional reactions to situations and let them flow out. With Reiki, acupressure, Quantum Healing, biofield tuning, and other energy work modalities, we bring the focus back to the body, so clients feel a deep release. This release and flow of emotions is super healthy and is almost like a remembering of how we all naturally released stress as children. Over time trauma from judgement from family led to an unhealthy holding, not knowing when someone would yell or be angry. with the energy reset and reconnect, a grounding connection is reformed and the hard stress flows out of the body and energy field. This allows a body to function at a most efficient, flexible, and healing way.

Expanding Reiki Energy-work with Quantum Healing.

Have you ever wondered about this “energy” that people talk about? Have you watching Masked Singer and felt the most powerful performer give you goose bumps? Have you watched Dancing with the Stars and felt inspired watching? This is energy moving through them into you. These talented individuals are filled with love while doing these activities, and we feel it as observers.

This energy of love has a very powerful frequency, and other beings match it through entrainment. This process is similar to playing a piano and the sound wave causing the string on a guitar across the room to vibrate. The same thing happens with two grandfather clocks on two separate sides of the rooms, eventually they match the swing of the pendulum to each other.

Since we are made up of mostly water and we all have an electromagnetic field that radiates a frequency when we are happy, energized, or filled with love and excitement, it only makes sense that we can help each other using frequencies to heal our bodies. The thing about the electromagnetic fields though, is that is behaves like plasma (see Biofield tuning). What else behaves like a plasma?

Fire.

Fire dances and twists, turns and burns through most things as the fire grows stronger. Oxygen feeds the fire. This is how energy works in the body. With breathwork, energy moves quickly and more powerfully burning off blocks from emotional holding. Holding any emotion causes a block or a dam to stop the energy and stagnate within that area. This lead to a build up of lactic acid and carbon monoxide over time. This causes soreness, inflammation, and over time disease. With practice, one can learn to be aware of this energy field and help it grow strong and burn off any blocks and allow for good flow and prevent disease. All energy modalities involve some sort of movement of life energy, whether through breath work and movement in Thai Chi or Chi Gong, or having someone else channel high frequency energy to entrain the recipient through Reiki, Healing Touch, or Quantum Healing. Quantum healing is different because it combines the energy work like Reiki and Healing Touch with breath-work.

This amps up the frequency by Quantum leaps into a whole new realm of potential for healing. Every client has felt the energy almost immediately. To me it feels like a warm hug and then starts to move through the body in waves. I have witnessed powerful release of old injuries, traumas, and old ways of thinking over these last few weeks. It’s been really beautiful to watch clients relax deeply and allow their body’s to heal at a whole different level.

If you are ready to take your healing to a new level, reach out and try Quantum Healing! I am super excited to bring this new modality to my clients as I felt it provide a deeper level of reconnecting each one of us to our healing potential. Reiki For Healing

Above all else, being kind is the best expression of love. Healing requires an abundance of love and compassion The more I teach Reiki classes, the more I feel it to my core. Reiki Principles are a simple and clear guide to love.

Just for today, do not anger. The energy of anger is powerful and spins fast like a fan. Unfortunately, when that fan is spinning we have no control and everyone in its path gets hurt. The key is to recognize anger and pause, pull the cord to the power source and go for a walk. Allow the fan to slow down and look at what hurt feelings powered it up in the first place. Tend to the hurt feelings with kindness. Love the opportunity to care for the hurt and heal this old wound.
Gratitude fills me with the opportunity to heal this in the moment to moment. I spent years running around trying to have a house clean enough, my business organized enough, my social media posts seen enough to grow my business. When I sat a listened to what was hurting, I found it was my spirit. It was time for me to be sure to play and do things I enjoyed. It was time to put me first. I had all my responsibilities handled and now it was time to focus on having fun.
Just for today, do not worry. Worrying takes you out of the present. The key to healthy living is staying in one’s body and mind in the minute to minute. I knew this intellectually, but it took me a long time to walk in the present moment. The more I learned to focus on inhabiting my body and treating it with kindness and care, in how I sat, stood, and held myself, the more present I became. I started to recognize how out of alignment I was when I worried, my hips tilted forward and then my whole spine and neck was out of whack. The importance of releasing worry to release my body was never more clear.

Just for for today, work honestly. This one is so important to unravel. I try hard to be honest to everyone, but what I realized is I wasn’t being honest to myself. Some days I didn’t want to be super helpful, creative, resourceful, and persistent. Some days I just wanted to rest. And once I realized how to recognize this, I realized this was me learning to be honest with myself. No one is perfect, and some days I get to lie low and be restful work slowly, to allow kindness to flow back through me. Allowing myself to process and understand my feelings was powerful. Giving myself space to not work at maximum efficiency gave me room to allow others to do the same.
Be grateful for your many blessings. Taking time every day to go through things for which I can be grateful helps me to start off on the right foot. This practice helps to switch gears and be thankful. Gratitude is essential for healing resentment. I needed this as I learned how to be kind to myself. Resentments were melting away and this focus on gratitude helped me to push that old dialogue and pattern out of the way.
Be kind to all living things. We loop back around to the most important thing. By being kind to another, that gives them permission to soften the heart and unwind their own inner dialogue. Being kind to myself, is equally important because it gives other permission to do the same. By being kind to myself, I have room in my heart, mind, and body, to extend grace to others. These principles are such an important key to healthy living. Reiki practice keeps me unwinding and unlinking, to be a better channel of unconditional love.

Learning Reiki is Learning to Love

When I first began my journey into Reiki and Energy work, I was really skeptical. All I knew was that my mother’s ankle had been healed after a bad sprain by someone doing Reiki on her at a party. I was fascinated. Little did I know that Reiki was really learning how to be a channel of love and compassion and this is what heals.

As the years have gone by and I teach more and more classes, I remember the beginning by watching my students. Feeling a bit of doubt, but feeling certain about the sensation of Reiki during the class. Self-treatment sessions are recommended daily. At first I just worked on injuries and neglected self-treatments, curious how Reiki worked. But as years went on I began to understand why self-treatments were so important.

The key to allowing deep flow for self-practice is love. Being able to generate feelings of love is a huge part of being able to channel Reiki. I have no trouble feeling love and compassion for others, but have trouble doing so for myself. By doing daily self-treatments, I have to carve out 15-45 minutes to just listen to my body and learn where I am holding tightness, pain, and emotions. And yes, despite having practiced Reiki for many years, I still hold onto stress and emotions. Remembering and understanding why daily self-treatments are recommended has been a game changer for me through this pandemic.

With this awakening, I learned loving others and connecting to Source, God, Love is the most healing action. The way to allow for more powerful Reiki for my clients is to turn this action on myself. This pandemic has allowed me the blessing of understanding the importance of self-love and self-care made a daily priority.

With so much uncertainty, the one true certain thing is our ability to love ourselves. No matter what happens, we have control over this most healing action. This is the key. No one else can do it for us. We have to learn how to use our most powerful heart generator to feel love for ourselves, all our emotions and mistakes in order to offer this to others. This is how we heal.

If you feel off balance, overwhelmed, angry, frustrated more than you feel love, it may be time to schedule a Reiki session to remember what love feels like flowing through your physical body. Reach out to schedule a session today. Healingwithangels77@gmail.com and just let me know if you prefer mornings or afternoons, weekdays or weekends. Much love to you.💖
